Founded in 1965 by Jacques Mongin, who became Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Art Cutlery Mongin is the symbol of a French quality of exception. These knives are world-renowned, they are for each piece unique copies. Located in the Nogentais Basin (Haute-Marne French department), the company manufactures entirely by hand its knives with a perfect line. They use materials such as deer antler, horns, ivory, wood, ...

This open-letters knife is a collector's item by Mongin. Jacques Mongin wanted to pay tribute to the philosopher Denis Diderot, whose father was a cutler, by creating this replica, faithful to an 18th century piece on display at the Musée du Breuil in Langres.

“La nature offre la matière. La main de l’homme en fait un Chef d’œuvre. » Jacques Mongin
