Dear customers,

Summer is gently settling in Brussels, bringing with it a desire for lightness, elegance, and carefully selected pieces. At Maison Degand, we have prepared a stylish summer season filled with beautiful discoveries… and exclusive events.

At Degand Business, things get serious from the pre-sale running June 23rd to 30th, exclusively for our loyal clients. The sales then start from July 1st to 31st — the perfect opportunity to find that lightweight suit or ideal accessory for your summer appointments.

And for the very first time, from July 15th to 31st, the sales will take place at Le Jardin, our seasonal boutique located at 2 rue Saint Georges, 1050 Ixelles. A welcoming space, bathed in natural light, where you can enjoy a more relaxed, summery shopping experience.

An unmissable event - Evening Opening on Thursday, at Le Jardin

To celebrate this radiant season, we invite you to an exclusive evening event in our Le Jardin boutique on Thursday, July 24th, from 6 PM to 9 PM.

With a glass of rosé or an Aperol spritz in hand, browse our curated selections in a chic, relaxed and intimate setting. Emily Degand and Philippe Janssen will be present to guide you with the care and precision that define our signature service.

New Arrivals - Castañer: The Elegance of Bare Feet

Now available at Degand Shoes: Castañer espadrilles.

Since 1927, this Spanish house has upheld ancestral craftsmanship centred around braided rope and linen. But everything changed in the 1970s when Yves Saint Laurent asked the Castañer family to create the first heeled espadrille for men, now a timeless icon.

To this day, every pair reflects a Mediterranean art of living, blending down-to-earth simplicity with understated elegance. Perfect in the city, by the water, or on the terrace of an Italian hotel.

Elegance close to the skin, and absolute freedom.

This Summer’s Must-Have, by Mimi Degand: The Safari Shirt

Elegance in Untamed Territory! Some garments are born out of necessity; others become icons. The safari shirt is both. Originally designed to withstand the extreme heat of the African desert, it was worn by explorers, cartographers, colonial officers…

Its pleated pockets, epaulettes, and sturdy fabric made it the ultimate utilitarian garment — built to endure dust, wind, and blinding sunlight.

But as is often the case, one gaze changed everything: Yves Saint Laurent, in 1967, reimagined the safari shirt as a fashion piece. He first feminised it, then refined and reinvented it. Eventually, it returned to men's wardrobes, stripped of its military stiffness, becoming what it is today: A symbol of effortless elegance, urban adventure, and quiet sensuality.
